GraceSoft Proverbs
Today's chapter of Proverbs, sent to Telegram whenever you ask. Use it on your own, or with your cell group, family or friends. It's completely free.
@GsProverbsBot
Why a Proverbs bot?
One chapter a day, a month of wisdom
Proverbs has 31 chapters, one for each day of the month. Reading the chapter that matches the date is an old tradition, and the bot helps you keep it.
Read together, even when apart
Add it to your cell group, family or friends' chat. Everyone reads the same chapter on the same day, and conversations tend to start on their own.
A gentle start to the day
Just the chapter, when you ask for it. No streaks, no nagging reminders, no guilt if you miss a day.
Scripture, not AI filler
The bot sends the text of Proverbs from a public-domain Bible translation. Nothing is generated, summarised or rewritten by AI.
How to use it
You need the Telegram app and nothing else. There's nothing to install, sign up for or pay.
On your own
- 1

Tap "Open in Telegram" below, or search Telegram for @GsProverbsBot.
- 2
Press Start
The bot replies with a short list of what it can do. That's all the setup there is.
- 3
Send /today
You'll get today's chapter in full, with verse numbers and a link to read it on the web. Send it again any day you like.
With your group
- 1
Add the bot to your group
Tap "Add to a group" below and pick your chat, or add it from the group's member list like any other contact.
- 2
Send /today in the group
Anyone in the group can do it. The chapter is posted for everyone to read, so you're all on the same page, literally.
- 3
Make it a habit
Pick a time that suits your group, such as first thing in the morning, and have whoever's up first send /today.
Commands
/today- Today's chapter of Proverbs, in full.
/settings- The translation the bot is using and its daily post time.
/help- A list of commands.
"Today" follows Singapore time (UTC+8): on the 8th of the month you get Proverbs 8. In shorter months, chapters without a matching date (29 to 31) are skipped. The bot uses a public-domain translation (the King James Version by default). You may see other commands in Telegram's menu. They're for the bot's admins, and the bot will politely decline if anyone else tries them.
Quietly private
What the bot doesn't collect
It has one job: send a chapter of Proverbs. It doesn't need to know anything about you to do that, so it doesn't try. Messages still travel through Telegram, under Telegram's own privacy policy.
- No account, sign-up or email address
- No profiles, history or reading stats about you
- No analytics or ad tracking
- In groups, it only responds to commands. It doesn't read or store your conversation
Prefer to read on the web?
The bot has a sibling. The GraceSoft Proverbs web app has the same chapter-a-day reading, and every chapter the bot sends links to it.
